What we collect, and what we don't

Worth stating first, because most policies bury it and because it is unusual:

• No analytics. There is no Google Analytics, no Meta pixel, no heatmap tool, and no session recording on this site.
• No advertising trackers, and no sharing of your browsing for ad targeting.
• No cookies set by us. This site sets none. Our checkout provider sets its own once you reach checkout — see below.
• We never sell or rent your personal information.
• We never see your card details. Payment is handled entirely by Shopify on their own checkout pages.

• Order information — your name, email, shipping and billing address, and what you ordered. Collected through Shopify when you check out.
• Photos and personalization details you upload — for personalized products, the photo of your pet plus anything you type, such as a name or engraving text. We use these to make your item and for nothing else.
• Your email address, if you choose to join the mailing list. You can unsubscribe from any email in one click.
• Standard server logs from our hosting provider — IP address, browser type, and which pages were requested. These are used to keep the site running and secure, not to profile you.

We set no cookies, but the site does keep two small values in your own browser. Neither identifies you and neither leaves your device except as part of an order.

• pokopet.cart.v1 — your basket, so it survives a refresh.
• pokopet.splash.seen — remembers that you have already seen the intro animation this visit, so we do not make you watch it twice.

Clearing your browser storage removes both. Nothing breaks; you just get an empty basket and the intro again.

Photos are the most personal thing you give us, so they get their own section.

• A photo you upload is used only to produce the item you ordered, and to show you a proof for approval where the product includes one.
• We do not use your photos in advertising, on social media, or on this website without asking you separately and getting a yes.
• Uploaded photos are kept for a minimum of 60 days so that a photo uploaded today still works if you complete your order later. Photos attached to a placed order are kept through production and for a limited reprint window afterwards, in case something needs remaking.
• You can ask us to delete a photo at any time by emailing [ADD: support email address]. If it is attached to an order still in production, deleting it means we cannot finish that order.

We use a small number of providers to run the shop. Each only receives what it needs.

• Shopify — powers the store, the checkout, and payment processing. Your payment details go to Shopify and their payment partners, never to us.
• Our production system — receives your uploaded photo and personalization details in order to make your item.
• Our hosting provider — serves this website and keeps standard request logs.
• Shipping carriers — receive the name and address needed to deliver your parcel.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to see the personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to get a copy of it, and to object to certain uses. If you are in the EU or UK, that includes rights under the GDPR. If you are in California, it includes rights under the CCPA — including the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them.

To exercise any of these, email [ADD: support email address]. We will not charge you for it and we will not make it difficult.

Our providers may process and store data in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

This shop is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK). If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

If we change how we handle your information — for example if we ever add analytics — we will update this page and change the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged more visibly than a quiet edit.
